How do I cancel my account?

We are sorry to see you go. Please feel free to open a support ticket if something is not working as expected and makes you unhappy. We will be happy to assist you.

We have specific procedures for canceling services with SKGOLD® Hosting. Our cancellation procedures are very simple (takes a minute to complete) and protect you from UNAUTHORIZED cancellations. These procedures allows us to verify that you are indeed the account holder and that you indeed want to cancel your hosting plan and/or domain name registration and authorize your website and files to be deleted.

NOTE: SKGOLD® Hosting will only accept cancellation requests through the client area via the cancellation options listed below. Please don't call us or send us emails with your cancellation requests.

Cancelling domain name registration does not automatically cancel your hosting account and cancelling a hosting account does not automatically cancel your domain name registration.

How to cancel your Hosting Account and Other Services

Please use the following steps if you want to cancel only your web hosting account or other services, and keep your domain name registration:

  1. Log into your client area.
  2. Click the "Services > My Services" link in the top navigation.
  3. Click a service that you want to cancel in the Products/Services table.
  4. Click the "Request Cancellation" in the Actions table.
  5. Briefly describe your reason for cancellation.
  6. Choose either "Immediate" (processed within 24 hrs), or "End of Billing Period" cancellation type.
  7. Click the "Request Cancellation" button.
If you have changed your mind, or if you have done a cancellation in error, open a support ticket to notify us immediately or your hosting account and/or other services may be terminated.

How to cancel your Domain Name Registration

Please use the following steps if you want to cancel only your Domain Name Registration / Renewal:

  1. Log into your client area.
  2. Click the "Domains > My Domains" link in the top navigation.
  3. Click a domain that you want to cancel in the Domains table.
  4. Click the "Auto Renew" in the Manage table.
  5. Click the "Disable Auto Renew" button.
You must disable the Auto Renew prior to Domain Renewal Due Date. All renewals are processed automatically through the domain registry. It impossible to cancel domain renewal once it has been processed and you will have to keep your domain name for another year.

How to cancel your Hosting & Domain Name at the Same Time

Please use the following steps if you want to cancel your web hosting account and domain name renewal at the same time:

  1. Log into your client area.
  2. Click the "Services > My Services" link in the top navigation.
  3. Click a service that you want to cancel in the Products/Services table.
  4. Click the "Request Cancellation" in the Actions table.
  5. Briefly describe your reason for cancellation.
  6. Tick the "Checkbox" to confirm that you do not want to renew your domain.
  7. Choose either "Immediate" (processed within 24 hrs), or "End of Billing Period" cancellation type.
  8. Click the "Request Cancellation" button.

How to cancel your Website Builder

You must open a support ticket through your client area if you want to cancel your Website Builder:

  1. Log into your client area.
  2. Click the "Open Ticket" link in the top navigation.
  3. Choose the "Billing and Payments" department.
  4. Select the "Related Service" in the drop down field.
  5. Describe in full details what service a reason for cancellation.
  6. Click the "Submit" button.

How to cancel your Account Addons

You must open a support ticket through your client area if you want to cancel account addons:

  1. Log into your client area.
  2. Click the "Open Ticket" link in the top navigation.
  3. Choose the "Billing and Payments" department.
  4. Select the "Related Service" in the drop down field.
  5. Describe in full details what service you want to cancel and a reason for cancellation.
  6. Click the "Submit" button.

If you are still receiving invoices from us for a service you thought was canceled, then for some reason we have not received a proper cancellation request. Please make sure to complete one of the cancelation procedures listed above.
